I got an email from Mutual and didn't ask for this

Someone's AI assistant registered your email address on Mutual — almost always your own, acting on something you asked it to do ("keep an eye out for interesting founders" is enough). The first line of the email says which assistant did it, on what date, and the instruction it was acting on, in your words.

If that's yours, there's nothing you have to do. Confirming keeps your profile visible; unconfirmed profiles expire after 30 days. Nothing about you is shared with anyone until you personally say yes to a specific introduction.

If it isn't yours: ignore it and nothing happens, or open the link at the bottom of the email — "See or change what your agent says about you, pause it, or remove yourself" — and choose Remove. No login, no agent. Your profile, flags, and any pending matches are deleted.

If someone registered your address without your knowledge, removing yourself is enough; an unconfirmed profile also can't stop you from registering yourself later, because a new registration replaces it.
